parents, Mr. ana Mrs. rl. H. Aylor. Mrs. Frankey Taliaferro and Mrs. Earl—Whitchom—were overnight guests on Tuesday night of Mrs. Carroll Menefee. On Thursday, Mrs. Jaenie Jarvis was an overnight guest of friends in Richmond.

Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. D. V. Chapman were Mr. and Mrs. Donald Kight and Edgar Sawyer of Ratonsville, Maryland. Mrs. Sawyer and her grandson, Richard Kight, who were weekend guests in the Chapman home returned with the party to Catonsville. On Saturday evening Mrs. Sawyer and grandson were dinner guests of her uncle and anut, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Brown.

idrs. Annie Grore Bruce returned ~on Sunday night to the home of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Bruce after a weekend visit in Sperryville with Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Johnson who also had as their dinner guests on Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Gordon Payne and son, Joe Gordon Payne of Madison, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Schaefer,^Edna Yates and Susan Schaefer.

F. D. Coffey, Jr. has returned home after satisfactorily completing a course in body and fender repair at Nashville Technical College.

Mr. and Mrs. Allen Winthrop and daughter, Dina of Washington, D. C. Dr. and Mrs. George H. Davis of Warrenton were dinner guests on Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Davis Jr.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Miller were dinner guests on Sunday of Mrs. Bertie Lib Moffett and father, B. R. Miller. Mr. and Mrs. B. M. Miller were supper guests in the Miller home.

Mr. and Mrs. R. V. Snead entertained at dinner Saturday evening at “Jo's Ocean Cove” in honor of Dr. John P. Snead’s birthday. Their guests were Dr, and Mrs. Snead, Capt. and Mrs. H. C. Warwick, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Moffett, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Keyser and Miss Majorie.

Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Campbell, Mr. and Mrs. D. D. Miller and C. J. Miller attended the funeral of Mr. Campbell’s brother, Arthur Campbell which was held at Lyle Church in Fluvanna County, on Friday. Mr. Campbell had been in declining health for sometime.
