Rappahannock To Have ,
Veterinarian
Dr. W. L. Wake, who recently graduated in the school of Veterinary Medicine of Alabama Polytechnic Institute at Auburn, will begin practicing in. Rappahannock on or about July 1.
He and Mrs. Wake have rented the John Carter property in Washington where they plan to establish their home and office.
During the summer of 1951 Dr. Wake served his internship under Dr. Fred Schell of Franklin, Tennessee. In addition he has spent two years working with -cattle on a Texas ranch.
Mrs. Wake, formerly Miss Arlene Lauck, the .daughter of John Lauck of Front Royal, is a former teacher having taught at the Amissville school in which community she is highly regarded.
Dr. Wake is the son of the late Rev. Arthur Wake of Strasburg where he graduated from high school. During World War .II, 'Dr. Wake was in the Sea Bees and prior to that time served as construction superintendent in civilian life.
The Wakes selected Rappahannock as their choice location for a home as well as his practice some time ago and have been in touch with the local citizens regarding same since.
