26 GRADUATES RECEIVE
HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMAS
Twenty five graduates were present Wednesday, June 4, for commencement exercises ait Rap- 1 pahannock County High School to receive diplomas. One graduate, ~ Robert Devers Harrison, is in the armed services and in Francs at the present time; his mother received his diploma for him.
Principal H. B. Winfrey accepffed the dam gift from the Senior class, a check for $108," presented by Donald Romine, to help purchase the auditorium curtain. Principal Winfrey also read the perfect attendance records for students during the past year, and congratulated the seniors, (wishing them success and asuring them the school was still ready to help them in the future as well as it had been willing to help them in the past.
Irvin Corbin, Jr., presided at the 'exercises, when Miss Joye * Dennis gave the salutatory and Miss Rosie Mae Mills, the valedictory.
* The candlelight recessional began with Irvin Corbin# Jr., giving the symbolic light to the candle of the president of the junior class, Robert L. Massie, Jr., and the entire junior class of 29 members joined in the recessional.
