Reports are awaited from health department tests tq see if the sick log which entered Flint Hill School donday was rabid.. During noon recess, January 26, a tray dog entered the Flint Hill grade chool and began snarling, yelping hd behaving in a strange manner, 'he children were quickly got from be room and the dog fastened there* n until help could come from Flint Jill. A hastily-organized rescue squad igreed that no chances could be taken, since the dog could have abies, so the men quickly killed the ick animal. Strict care was taken by two eachers, Mrs. Edmonds and Mrs. Cook, to see that the room wa? well disinfected before the children were tllowed to return, because the germs it rabies are carried in saliva. Many theories were advanced. The og might have worms, might have leen poisoned, or might have what t commonly called running-fits. With 11 the scares of recent years, the illing of the stray dog seemed safest, nee there was some chance of rabies. The excitement at the school was, igh. Later, discussions were ralm, Bt kthe scene ah the time resembled mad dog in a mad house! The hildren’s screaming may have
