Mr. and Mrs. Vernon R. Pettie, of Alexandria, have purchased property about one-half mile from Estes on the Thornton River from he heirs of George T. Scott. Final papers on the sale were drawn up at the Clerk’s office Saturday morning, January 24.
Mr. Pettie is in the contracting business in Alexandria and states that he will build a new home on the 30acre property. The old Scott home on the place has not been in use for some years and is considered beyond repair.
The sale was negotiated by Ray T. Cannon, real estate broker of Castleton.
