IV.S.C.S. MEETING
Mrs. G. W. Smith Jr. and Mrs. Joe Williams were joint hostesses to the W.S.C.S. of the Flint Hill Methodist church on Thursday evening. The meeting was opened by the president, Mrs. Carson Lillard, with ten members present. Mrs. Paul Miller was in charge of the program "Care Packages.” After the meeting refreshments were served by the hostesses.

The Rev. J. David Menchhofer and members of the Rappahannock Charge, The Methodist Church gathered at First Church, Charlottesville, January 18, to lay plans for the part the Rappahannock Charge will take in the United Evangelistic Mission of the Southeastern Jurisdiction in April.
The preaching phase of the United Evangelistic Mission will be held in Washington alternately in the Methodist and Baptist church, since the Washington Baptist church is cooperating with the Methodist church in this phase of the Mission. In addition the Flint Hill, Sperryville and Willis Chapel Methodist churches will cooperate with Washington Methodist Church, the host church.
Jeffersonton and Oak Shade Methodist churches will cooperate with the Amissville Methodist church, the host church, in that area of the Charge.

Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rrazier and family, Mrs. Bessie Burke and Robert Corbin spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Shelvy Frazier.
J. F. Cannon celebrated his 84th birthday anniversary Tuesday, January 20. Mr. Cannon is a retired postmaster of Castleton.
Mrs. C. D. Scott has been suffering from injuries due to a fall.
Mr. and Mrs. Eugene Dodson and family of Viewtown spent Sunday with he latter’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Will Bawkey.
Mr. and Mrs. Graham Hackley, Mrs. C. C. Zinn, Mrs. James Doyle, Miss Laura Doyle and Mr. and Mrs. George Doyle of Culpeper spent Sunday afternoon in Winchester.
