Our attendance Sunday, January 25, rose to an unusual height. There were more than 110 people attending the worship service some from various parts of Virginia. The title for this Sunday’s 11 a.m. message is “Putting Out From The Land.” The subject for the message at the Washington ftaptist at 7:30 p.m. worship service is ‘The Prodical Son's Father.” The public is welcome to both services.

POINT TO POINT RACES The Rappahannock Hunt will hold its third annual Point-To-Point Races on Saturday, .March 14 at Leeway Farm. Details in next issue of the Rappahannock News.
RAPPAHANNOCK HUNT A field of seventeen riders met at Thornton Hill Farm, Thursday, January 22. There were five hunts represented: Edward Durell, M.F.H. of Rocky Fork-Headley Hunt of Ohio; Oliver Durant, Joint M.F.H., Louis Somerville and Freddie Jackson from Hazelmere Hounds; Alexander McKay-Smith, M.F.H., Mrs. Alexander McKay-Smith, Richard Dole and Robert Scott of the Blue Ridge Hunt; Mrs. W. L. Rochester, Mrs. Beverly Bryant and Mallory Nash of the Warrenton Hunt; James W. Fletcher, John R. DeBergh, Mr. and Mrs.- Leon T. Greenaway, F. M. Lewjs and Jack Bruce of the Rappahannock Hunt. Due to warm weather and a late start, scenting was extremely poor. Hounds drew blanks on Mason, Fielding and Poortown mountains, but the field enjoyed the ride and the visitors were especially complimentary of the beautiful oountiy. However, when hounds drew Turkey, they jumped a grey fox immediately and led seventeen riders on a grand five-mile run—from all reports it was as exciting as any steeple chase. The fox was finally denned at the foot of the mountain.
