“Unique” Show
“My Rappahannock Story Book,” the title of Miss Mary Elizabeth Hite’s account of early Rappahannock County will be the theme of a Spring Flower Show to be staged by the Rappahannock Garden Club, April 22, at the Washington Baptist Church Educational Building.
In her book, Miss Hite describes the mountains* and its folk from the early settlers up to the present and she focuses attention upon homes and other buildings which still < stand proudly lending dignity and grace to the lives of these inhabitants as faithfully as they did many generations ago.
Men and children, whether they are enthusiastic flower lovers or not, should still share an interest in the folklore depicted in the artistic classes.
Inspiration for the show came from the chapters in Miss Hite’s book which describes such events as Court
