“As we are one.” Oneness among His followers is just as vital and necessary as oneness between Him and the Father. That is there must be oneness in life, oneness in light and onenes§ in love.
They were to be kept through His name. Now what is the name of God, and what does it mean? “Keep them from the evil.” Their business is in the world and He is praying for their protection against falling while carrying on the work of the Kingdom under the Father direction. How were they to be kept from the evil? By sanctifying them through His word. Separate them from the world through His Word, prayer and fellowship.
