Positions In Capital
Miss Alice Mae Coughlin of Washington, and Miss Phyllis Updike of Slate Mills left today for Washington, D, C. where they plan to work and make their home. Miss Coughlin, valedictorian of the Rappahannock High School class of 1953, has been employed by the Commonwealth Attorney since her graduation. She will accept a position with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. -—Miss Phyllis Updike, a graduate of Rappahannock High School, -completed—a two-year business course at Madison College last June, and was awarded a Secretarial Diploma. She plans to work for the Bureau of Information.
The two girls have secured an apartment in the building with several other Rappahannock girls, including Miss Shirley Weaver and Miss Catherine Lillard.
