The Vacation Bible School which is being conducted jointly with the following churches: Nazareth Baptist Church, Boston; Shiloh Baptist Church, Woodville and Hopewell Baptist Church, Sperryville from 9:00 to 12 noon, Monday through Friday, July 5 through July 16, has an enrollment of sixty-eight and the school is being held at Shiloh Baptist Church, Woodville.
The school has departments designed for each age group.
Beginners, ages 4 and 5—Miss Arlene Wallace, Superintendent;
Primaries, ages 6 to 8—Miss Jane Wallace, Superintendent;
Juniors, ages 9 to 12—Miss Muriel Frye, Superintendent
Intermediates, ages 13 to 16— Miss Cormova Rector, Supt.; Miss Ethel Ay lor.
Refreshments are served during the week.
There are activities suited to all age groups. There is a joint worship service for all of the combined V.B.S. classes. Also group singing, stories, Bible study, missionary activities, handwork, games. All handwork will be displayed for visitors and friends on commencement night. i_Special certificates will be awarded to all children who attended eight days or more.
Our principal, Miss Geneva I. Edwards of Richmond has been doing a superior job along with her co-workers. .Messers Acy Frye and C. C. Lewis have been responsible for the transportation.
Medames Lucy L. Childs, Bertha Noakes, Mrs. Nellie Clark, Mrs. Mary Carpenter, Mrs. Virgie Frye and Mrs. Beulah Wallace make up the refreshment
