Trinity Guild met at the church Wednesday last at 4 p.m. Mrs. W. AI.—Stuart presided. Rev. Francis' Allison,—Rector,—jyas present and after the business before the Guild was disposed of, outlined the place for the Harvest Homes, Service, which will be glad in the church on the third Sunday in October at 7 p.m. Those present were Mrs. James L. Oden, Mrs. Bartow Brown, Mrs. W. M. Stuart and Mrs. Charles T, Bruce.

William A. Laing of Amissviile, Va., a student at the Pawling School for Boys, appears on the scholastic honor roll for the fall term. Young Laipg, who is the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Laing of Amissville, formerly attended the school of Amissville where he was active in sports. Here at Pawling he plays on the football team.
On Saturday, Triple Threat, owned by Air. J. E. Keyser of this county, won the second race at Pimlico for two-year olds, mile and one-sixteenth; ttime 1.47 1-5. Value to winner, $950, Triple Threat was ridden by E. Steffen, arid trained by R. M. Stuart.— — ... In the Rappahannock 4-H Achievement Day held Saturday, November 14. William Moore, son of Air. and Airs. John R. Aloore of Flint Hill, won the white gold Elgin watch presented by the Chilean Notrate of Soda Co. In winning this watch William presented the largest increase in yield in corn and the most profit per acre due to the use of soda. Rayner Snead won a. Parker Pen and Pencil set, a prize for winning the ton litter contest. Rayner produced 2037 pounds of pork from 11 pigs in 4 months and 16 daysT Conrad Eastham won Parker Pen for placing second in the ton contest, k T :r
The following were awarded record book prizes: Corn Record Book, Warren Cook; Sheep Record Book, Allen Hitt, Viewtown; Poultry Record Book, Ann Stout; Garden Club Record Book, Ethel Shaeffer; Tig Club Record Book, Morgan Johnston, Huntlv; and Dairy Calf Record Book, Dorothy Wood, Amissville. (All of the first prize winners were awarded $2.50.)
