New Town Council
Holds First Meeting
In the first meeting of Washington’s newly elected Town Council, held in the Court House, Tuesday night, Mrs. A. M. Verner and Mrs. T. M. Johnston were welcomed as new council women and various committees were formed.
Mrs. J. W. Price was chosen as Vice-Mayor with Miss Ruby Jenkins as Clerk. Mrs. Milton Hawkins was named To the Street Light Committee and Mrs. Price to the Highway Committee. Mrs. A. M.
