At the morning worship service
the Summerduck Baptist hurch on the 12th of September e church granted a “License .toj reach” to Robert Clifford Gra:r, a member of the congregation., obert was in this year’s graduatg class of Culpeper High School and is enrolled as a first year student at Bluefield College. He is a son of the Rev. and Mrs. Joseph Graven of Elkwood, Va. His father is pastor of the Oakland, Summerduck, Calverton and Lohr iield of churches in the Potomac Association, and is also supplying the -Spruce Grove Mission and Mt. Salem Church in the Shiloh Association. Robert Graver has done considerable supply preaching duflng the past summer 'having preached in all of his father’s churches as well as in the CuU peper, Manassas, W a r renton,Amissville, Forest Grove, Lael and Brandy Baptist churches' and in the Elkwood Union Chapel.
BRIDGE PARTY
Mrs. J. B. Keyser entertained the Washington Bridge Club with additional guests on Thursday evening for dessert bridge.'Those playing were Mr. and Mrs. A. H. Keyser, Mrs. Will Keyser, Mrs.' R. L. Massie, Mrs. G. H. Davis, Jr., Mrs. L. J. Turner, Mrs. B, M. Miller, Mrs. W. 1H. Massie, Jr., Mrs. Charles T. Bruce and Mrs. D. D. Miller.
After the game the hostess presented the high score prize to Mrs. B. M. Miller and the traveling to Mrs. Davis.
