Mrs. rawiey, the former Helen Shipman, was one of the youngest prima donnas ever to appear on the Big Stem. She started out at the age of 3 giving impersonations of the great stars of the theatre. Later -her talents took her to musical comedy and Irene, Caroline and Kosher Kilty.
Though retired, Mr. and Mrs. f Pawley cannot resist an occasional forage into the world of the theatre. Only recently, they advised a group of young actors who staged a pageant depicting the history of Chincateague Island, Accomac County. This pageant highlighted an outdoor week-long show at the annual Sportsman’s Show and Fishing Tournament, sponsored by the Yacht and Sportsman’s Club of which Mr. Pawley is a member. v ~ ; At Four Eagles, Mrs. Pawley is busy with a pet project which may eventually eclipse her theatrical fame.
