County winners were selected in 4-H projects at the County Contest Saturday held at the Rap"* pahannock School. The girls were judged on their record and on the demonstration given at the contest. Judges were Miss Nora Dillon, Home Ec. teacher at Rappahannock High School Mrs. B. W. ^Williams, 4-H L leader in Huntly and Mrs. Jessie Rowzie of Washington. The following awards were given: In Meal Preparation—Carolyn "Williams demonstrated making carrot and pear salad and was awarded a blue ribbon and foley award. Betty Rutherford made cinnamon buns and won a red ribbon. Carolyn Brown made a pear salad and was awarded a red -ribbon and the county medal. Peachy Lyne made cole slaw and : won^ a placing ribbon.—-- - In Breads—Annie Dodson demonstrated the making of biscuits and worf a placing award. In Health Project—Nancy Wood showed the best method of cleaning her teeth and was awarded a red ribbon. - Two entries in Dairy Project were: Lelia Gentry showing the making of milk drinks for the packed lunch and Jean Lillard making a chocolate milk drink. Lelia was presented with a blue ribbon and Jean won. a red ribbon
