Augsburg, Germany—Cpl. David M. Dwyer, Sperryville, Va. was among a group of 5th Infantry Division soldiers representing the United States in the recent 10th annual liberation celebration at Marseilles, France.

Dwyer, a squad leader in Company G of the division’s 11th Regiment at Augsburg, Germany, was one of 300 men selected and flown to Marseilles to' participate in the celebration.

A veteran of the . Korean conflict, he has been in the Army since 1949.
