Both of the men teams were coached by Veteran Mahlon Ramey. In the Married Line Up was Luther Payne, catching ( later relieved by William Payne), and Herbert Foster, catching backed by‘ Robert Frazier at first base; Bruce Bowie, at second; Charlie Jenkins, at third; ,JSTed Settle, short stop and in the field; William Payne, right-fieldf-Clarence Giles, left field, and ' Edward Clark, center field. Buddy Moore relieved Ned Settle at short stop, and Sawbuck Whorton, B. Bowie, at second base.-—-Hill^Walker_h urledL for the_ Bachelor Nine with Jr. Eastham, catching. On first was Fred Cook; second, Jim Settle; third, Robert Settle; and short stop, S. Whorton, later relieved by Henry Hudson. Jimmie Wayland began the game in left field and was relieved by M. Burke, later in the game. F. Settle was in right field.
Though the Married Men managed to stay pretty close to the Single Men in most of the game, at the very last the Singles pulled ahead and ended the game with a 4-run lead, 12-8.
All was in fun, and . scores meant little. Everyone enjoyed the games, spectators and players included.
