Citizens Discuss
Sunday Beer Ban
Tension was at a high pitch in Wednesday’s meeting of the Board of Supervisors, as citizens appeared to express their opinions on the sale of wine and beer in the county between the hours of 12 o’clock Saturday night and 6 o’clock Monday morning.
This public hearing was the result of a motion by W. C. Campbell, seconded by A. H. Buckner and approved unanimously in the September meeting stating that “the Board desires to hear the views of citizens of the County FOR and AGAINST the adoption of prdiances prohibiting the sale of Wine and Beer. . . _ - Both sides of the issue were well represented in the crowded court room, with a smattering of dealers, organization representatives, and just plain interested persons airing their views. - V -
