Since they first made Rappahannock their home, the Pawleys have entered into numerous community projects, lending their efforts especially to the Amissville Volunteer Fire Department and other , activities. TTidugh their theatrical successes add a touch of interest to them, it is the latter that endears them to Rappahannock. Around the same time, there was another accident on the long s^curve 2 3/10 miles east of Sperryville when a 1953 Pontiac plowed into a 1954 Chevrolet that had stopped by a flare, stationed by Officer Buntin. A little earlier, between 9:30 and 10 that night, a 1954 Convertible skidded on the curve near the home of Mrs. D. B. Smith. Several other cars were said to have skidded off the road at this spot, but could move off under their own power.
