Beginning in January of each year, there are a series of drives for worthy causes. These causes each designate a month for their cam* paign< but as often occurs, one will overlap and thus necessitate the . overlapping of succeeding drives. Of course, it’s hard to put a clear cut end to a drive when persona tarry in sending in contribution and thus the county falls far 6d> low the quota. However, this overlapping puts a damper on the fallowing drives and causes them either to cut short their month or overlap into another cause’s alloted month for its drive. Then too, come another year, the individual pays little attention to a stated deadline as he fully expects the deadline to be changed to a later ’ ddte.

R. V. SNEAD NAMED { SUBSTITUTE JUDGE

Judge Rayner V. Snead of the Twenty-sixth Judicial Circuit has been named to substitute for Judge Leon M. Bazile in Hanover County Court beginning Tuesday, February 8th, to preside in the cases of Hanover County versus Allen, and Allen versus Hanover County. The State Supreme Court of Appeals announced j; recently that Judge Bazile disqualified himself from hearing the cases.
