January 12 was “Homemaker of Tomorrow pay” ’in Washington. It was'a day of opportunity for the Senior Girls of Rappahannock High School, who have been enrolled in the Betty Crocker Search for the American Homemaker of Tomorrow.
Simultaneously, 189,530 young women of the senior graduating classes in 8,090 participating high schools throughout the United States took a written examination testing their aptitude for the career that awaits nearly all of them—homemaking. / This 50-minute written examination will be the basis for selecting the Homemaker of Tomorrow in each school, state and, finally on April *21, the nation.
