Farm Bureau To Be *Nationwide? With
Expansion Move
“The Farm Bureau Insurance Companies are going ‘Nationwide’ in more ways than one,” Mrs. B. M. Miller, local representative, learned in a meeting of Farm ~ Bureau Insurance Company employees, held Wednesday, January 26th, in the National. Theatre in Richmond. - Via a closed-circuit telecast viewed in 21 eastern cities by some 18,000 employees, agents, families and friends of the companies, top officials announced that the three firms intend to:
(1) Change the company name, effective September I, 1955, to Nationwide Insurance, and (2) Begin planning immediately for a program of national expan* sion.
The Farm Bureau Mutual Automobile Insurance Company thus will be known as the Nationwide Mutual Insurance Company; Farm Bureau Mutual Fire Insurance Company becomes Nationwide Mutual Fire Insurance Company; and Farm Bureau Life becomes Nationwide Life Insurance ('nmnanv. . - ;
