If kept with any degree of accuracy and regularity I feel the sheets can be of immense value to farmers; it will allow much more intelligent fertilization in so far as selecting analysis and deciding upon rates of application and in addition developing a fertilization and liming plan by the year.

Eddie Sutphin, Jack Sisk, Randall Updike, Glenn Updike, Joe Williams and Ivory Atkins, Jr. accompanied your county agent to the shearing school at "Winchester last week and accounted for the shearing of thirty odd ewes. Jack, Randall, and Glenn were selected by George Allen, instructor at the Winchester School, to attend the two-day shearing school _ for 4-H’ers at . Front Royal for bovs in the district shearing Contest. E. A. Warner of the Sunbeam Corporation will conduct this school.

There is a big need for good sheep shearers all over Virginia and our 4-H boys have vocused national attention on Virginia 4-H shearers. Several of our Rappahannock 4-H’ers are getting recognition too! Who knows but what we may come up with a state and national winner! Jack Sisk and the Updike boys are really coming fast and Ivory, Joe and Eddie are pushing them—all’s needed is more experience, they have the know how and speed will come with more experience. ■ .
