53 School Children On Tour Saturday
Children from grades 4, 5, 6, and 7, with Mrs. Annie Cooke, principal of the Flint Hill School, Mrs. Robert Johnson, Miss Mary K. Fincham and Mrs. Louis Moore took a trip Saturday. They visited Mt. Vernon, the National Airport, Arlington National Cemetery, including a tour of Lee’s Mansion , and the grave of the Unknown Soldier. There were 53 children, the four teachers and two bus drivers, William Lee and Wade Pullen, who enjoyed the excursion.
Union Revival Moves Into Final Nights
The Union Revival being held in Flint Hill this week, with the Reverend Thomas J. Larkin, pastor of the Marshall Baptist Church, as guest speaker, is moving along nicely and the attendance is good. - '
The Reverend Mr. Larkin came to Virginia from the First Baptist Church of Tallahassee, Florida, where he was assistant pastor. He is a graduate of the Georgetown College, Georgetown, Ky. He has held pastorates in 5 states an3 done mission work in 12 states.
The ^services begin at 7:45 nightly and close about 9. The meeting will close Friday night, April 29.
