Mrs. Lucy^bin Smith, wife of John Warren Smith, off Viewtown, died'at her residence Tuesday April 119th following a long period of Reclining health,
Mrs. Smith, 63 years of age, was the daughter of the late James" Hitt and Mrs. Nellie Gooch Hitt of Rappahknnock County.
Besides j her husband, Mrs. Smith is survived by seven daughters: Mrs. Johnnie Hitt, Viewtown; Mrs. Harry Woodard, of Buckland; Mrs. Allen Fletcher, Buckland Mrs. Julian Welch, of Hume; Mrs. Ellis Smith, Viewtown; Mrs. Eldridge Grigsby, of Amissville; Miss Lena Smith, of Washington, D. C.; three sons, Wilmer Smith, Millington, Md., Warren Smith. Washington, Sgt. Frank Smith. U. S. Army, located in Japan; ‘2 sisters, Mrs. Julia Soicer and Mrs. H- R. Woodard of Culpeper; 3 brothers, Henry and Ernest of Amissville, and .Thomas of Culpeper; also 20 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 2:00 p.m. from the Forest Grove Baptist Church, with interment in the church cemetery. Rev. Harold Carder conducted the last rites.
