Arthur amitn received severe bruises of the chest and lacerations' of the chin. Mary Ellen Shuls-of Silver Spring, Maryland, driving j the station wagon, suffered scalp lacerations. - At 6:30 Sunday evening slightly over 3 miles east of Sperryville (near Greenaway farm) a. 1953 Chevrolet driven by Mrs. Ruth Robinson Wood, a colored school teacher from Norfolk, skidded into a bank. Mrs. Wood ap*'patently applied the brakes and then went into the skid, plowing into the right hand bank. The driver escaped injury but her husband, Allan R. Wood, complained of chest pains. He was taken to. the Warren Memorial Hospital by Geest Ambulance Service.
Margaret Maruy, 16 years old, was injured in the 2 car accident occuring Monday noon in front of George Wood’s. A 1955 Buick, driven by William Hamishen, of Ontario, was turning into the Restaurant when the collision with the 1949 Ford Sedan occured. Mrs. Lolla Pyle, Rouseville, Pa., driving the Ford,.was injured. Her granddaughter, Margaret, suffered a severed artery in the scalp. She was taken to the office of Dr. J. P. Snead, who administered temporary treatment. The Rescue. Squad then rushed her to the . Warren Memorial Hospital.
An accident ^occurring in Frederick County' on Saturday involved a 1954 Ford owned by Frank Lewis Smith of Amissville. Trooper J. H. Smith reports the accident as occurring at 2:3d p. m., Sunday. “Cars figuring ’ in the mishap were identified by the officer as a 1954 Ford owned by Frank Lewis Smith of Amissville, which was parked and a 1946 Chevrolet sedan driven by Isaac Russell Murray of Rt. 2, Winchester. Damage to the Ford was listed at $25 and no damage to the Chevrolet."
