SLATE MILLS
More than 40 members and guests of the Slate Mills Home Demonstration Club gathered last Friday evening for a picnic at Green Hill Farm, honpeof Mr. and Mrs. A. I* Weaver on the Hughes River Road, under the leadership of the president, Mrs. Joseph Powers. The Home Agent, Mrs. Elizabeth Fuss Powers, was a special guest and gave an interesting informal report on the Rural Institute at Blacksburg, and the State meeting of Home Demonstration Clubs.
The Reverend Joseph S. Graver will conduct prayer meeting at Mount Salem Baptist Church this Friday evening at 7:30. Sunday School will be held at 2:30 Sunday ^fternoon. I The Reverend) A. G.
