Funeral service* for Mr. Dodson were held at 11 ajn., Monday, August 15th from the graveside in the Sperryville Cemetery with the Rev. Paul Thompson officiating. - ' Mr. Dodson's friends and relatives attending the service acted as active and honorary pallbearers.
HARRISON LOOKS OVER NEW FIRE HOUSE When U. S. Representative Burr P. Harrison arrived at the post office for his annual visit, he was met by John R. Moore, Frank Cary and Herbert Foster, Thursday. Mr.> Harrison made a tour of inspection at the fire hall and said it surpassed others he had seen in larger towns.
RICHARD DABNEY WORKS WITH YOUTH
Richard Dabney, Washington, D. C. spent a few days with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Lawson last week. Mr. Dabney will start a new job, working with councilors to youth in reform institutions in Washington, Monday. In September, he will continue his studies at American University, where he is preparing for the ministry. At present he is assistant to the pastor of New York Avenue Presbyterian Church.
