Basketball
In a practice scrimmage game at RCHS, the Rappahannock High Varsity overcame the FFA basketball squad by a 44-27 score. Sisk was high scorer for the Varsity as he, hit the net for 12 points* while Menefee topped the FFA boys with 14 points. The game consisted of two six minute quarters and two eight minute quarters. After leading by only four points at the end of the first quarter, the Varsity boys started hitting, and had a commanding lead by halftime. The game was characterized by the almost total absence of foul shots, only one point being scored from the foul line in the whole game, that by the FFA in the 4th quarter.
Mr. Cascio and Mr. Leonard were referees. We hope this game will not shatter the FFA team’s confidence, since they will participate in the forecoming FFA tournament.
