. Judge and Mrs. R. V. Snead were Sunday afternoon callers on the Warwicks at Rock Bottom.
Mrs. Arthur Edmonds and daughters were guests Wednesday of Clyde Jenkins and Mr. and Mrs. Guy Burke.
On Sunday, the Rev. and Mrs. John R. Frizzell,Jr. and children, Sara and Johnny, were dinner guests of Mrs. James Gordon Smith of Rose Hill, Greenwood, Virginia. Miss Sara Frizzell who has been a guest for the week end of Miss Elizabeth Smith in Charlottesville, accompanied her parents home.

E. M. Jones has recently received a letter from Townson E. Smith, who has been in California since 1935, congratulating him upon his address given before the Virginia State Horticultural Society, of which he is a life member.
Before going to California, Mr. Smith owned and operated Bowling Green, the family estate near Flint Hill, on which were 4,000 apple trees, said to be among the most beautiful in Rappahannock County.
Friends of Mr. Smith will be glad to learn that he is in the best of health, and as in the past, enjoying passiog on rules for keeping well.
Mr. Smith was the originator of a very healthful drink which he called “Honey-lem” and enjoyed serving at Bowling Green.
It was lemonade made with honey instead of sugar and most delicious.
