H. B. Winfrey, Chairmen of*the Cancer Crusade reporta that to date, 1S1 contributions, totalling $344.00 has been received* from. Rappahannock County by the American Cancer Society in the 1966 campaign. Inst year’s contributions, as previously repotted in this paper, amounted to $669.00. If we are to surpass last year’s record, we need more than $225.00 additional.
The fight against Cancer, like the battles against Polio, Tuberculosis, and other scourges, takes time, effort and work—years of work and research by hundreds of devoted scientists and doctors. In scores of hospitals, hundreds of men and women are devoting theta* lifetime working days searching, testing, observing, over and over* again, day after day, in j their., quest for the answer, or to the mystery of Cancer.
