SOCIAL SECURITY, IT APPLYS TO SUMMER EMPLOYMENT
There are two points concerning social security that should be remembered by those students who take jobs during vacation periods, according to Robert E. Parsons, Assistant Manager of the Alexandria Social Security Office.
One point concerns children under age 18 who are receiving social security benefits based on a deceased or aged parent’ssocial security account. When such a person works either part-time or full-time and expects to earn more than $1200 in a year, a report should be made immediately to the Sodal Security Administration. This is necessary since any bneficiary under age 72 is not entitled to bfe benefit for every month in the year if his total earnings in the year exceed $1200. He is entitled to benefits for certain months if his total earnings do not exceed $2080 in a year. .
The other point to remember, as explained by Mr. Parsons,' it
and 4-H leader, Mr. Jeff Lohr.
Wool Bags and twine are now available at the County Agent’s office. The United Woll Growers Association says they can no longer accept clear tied wool in any kind of bags other than standard word bags. Feed bags may be used only for tags, black or gray fleeces.
