The laws makes it unlawful foi children under 16 to work on a farm at any time during the school hours of the district where the child is currently living. If the local school is in session and the child is under 16, he cannot legally. i
The only exception to this is that a parent may employ his child on his farm. Such child may not work for neighbors or other farmers during school hours.
Farmers can protect themselves from unintentional violation of child Ubor provisions by requiring an age certificate before hiring a young person. Such certificates may be obtained from local county superintendents of schools.
