This is in lins -with the President’s farpi message of April 16, announcing prompt administrative } action to increase farm income, with a minimum wheat price support of 12.00 per bushel, but not less than 82% per cent of the wheat parity price. Ip the event that 82% per cent of parity as of the beginning of the marketing yew (July 1, 1966) is more than $2.00 per bushel* ..the support price will be increased. At present, 62.00 is 83.6 per cent of parity.
Specific support rates by classes and grades for county and terminal locations will be made available soon. Wheat price support will be carried out, as in the past, through non-recourse loans and purchase agreements, and will be available from the beginning harvest through January 31, 1967. Both wheat marketing quotas (approved by producers in a referendum June 26, 1966) and acreage allotments are in affect for the 1966 crop of wheat.
