Association Meetings
The regular monthly meeting if the Chester Gap Citizens Asociation was held last Thursday vening in the Auditorium Annex it Greelevs Store. Present were 17 ■egular members and many visit>rs of whom six elected to join the Association before the meeting got, inder way. For the benefit of the visitors . present, the President explained the aims and purposes of the organisation, after which a report was made on last year* progress by the Treasurer and the chairman of the building committee, GilK*rt Smith. To encourage interest in civic affail bv the younger persons in the community a motion to admit anplican** who had reached their 17th birthday was unanimously: passed. . The following officers were then elected for the coming year: Merritt Greeeley, President, reeected Gilbert Smith, Vice President; Iva Williams, Secretary, reelected; Downing Williams, Treasurer; Albert Wines. The members of this association are well pleased with the progress that has been made and are determined that plans for futum improvement in the community, while very ambitious, will be fulfilled. . C
Visitors are most welcome to these meetings which are held on * the third Thursday of every month.
