In an interview yesterday. 1st. Lt. Robert G. Leonard, Jr., a ocal school teacher and commanding officer of Co. C„ 318th Inf Regt. (Res.); said “This is a wonderful break for every man in the area who has not had active service in the armed forces. I hone that every one of them will take advantage of this program. In answer to our question, Lt. Leonard stated that there are a number of vacancies in both B and C companies located in Culneoeer. Virginia, but that he expects all of them to be filled in the ver/ near future, in light of the new program.

John Neson, local Army Reserve recruiting Sgt. stated that if any man lives in a remote area he may be enlisted under the above program and do 30 dav training in place of his weekly and two weeks summer camp training. Nelson will be at Rappahannock County High School, on Monday March 4, 10:00 o'clock to explain the above program more in details, of which he stated that there is no obligation to any attending. But recommended that any young mart between the ages 17-25 attend to have their military obligation explained to them and their parents. The general public is invited.
