Virginia. He. may elect to go on active duty for six months starting, for example, in June. In the meantime, by attending on a drill each week with his unit, he will be satisfying a part of his active reserve obligation and be paid one days pav for each drill attend. Upon release from active duty in December, if he entered active duty in June, he will be assigned to an Army Reserve unit closest to his home. For the remainder of his enlistment, he will attend one meeting each week, for each of which he will receive one day's pay, and a summer encampment of two weeks each year with his unit.
