The Virginia Baptist Home for the Aged opened it’s doors and extended it’s hospitality tq. Virginia Baptists on Friday, October 30 in a manner reminiscent of "the good old days. This yearly event at the end of the harvest grows better year by year. Over la thousand were there from all over the State to see and to marvel at the wonderful work done by those who have taken as their motto, In as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethern, ye have done it unto me." It is, impossible to describe the Home. One must go and see to appreciate the understanding of__ and compassion for human need displayed in every detail. “A bit of Heaven on earth for these old people”, a visitor was heard to remark . Visitors heard informative and inspiring talks, toured the buddings and grounds and had an opportunity to visit friends. All of those in the infirmary wore flowers front their own flower gardens and their very own greenhouse. A bountiful lunch, featuring old ham, fried chicken, baked beans, ice cream, and home made cake was served and a cordial invitiaion extended to come ,again next year.
