4-H Club Doings

This year, as I have mentioned in past articles, a special effort has been made to interest club members to raise, show and sell a baby beef this coming spring. So far this fall, we have two new feeders and on {experienced 44H’er who are looting forward to showing their animals this spring.
Ned Jones, son pf Mr. and Mrs. E. M. Jones, Mark Harris, son of Mr. and Mrs. E. A. Harris, Huntly, and Walter B. Kilby, son of Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kilby of Sperryville, will be the boys representing Rappahannock at the “Baby Beef Shows” next spring. All three of that 4-H’ers are feeding “home raised steers” which wre picked out of their family’s herd in September. Ned and Mark are feeding an AngusJ^gr while Walter B. is feeding two Shorthorn steers. AH' tju.bpys will show and sell their steers in Front Royal at the Wanco-Eage-Rappahannock Baby ^eei.Sktm wad Sale to be held May 5th. Walter B. will show just one of his steers at the Front Royal Show while the remaining steer will, be shown and sold at the Jr. Premimum Stock Continued on Pagk ten
