What a terrible way to start the week. My ginger’s up and I am mad as a hornet. To think a Rappannahockian would down his very own paper and unjustly so. From all I can understand our supposedly good friend, has misinformed himself as well as his fellow men. We are always looking for news of interest to our readers. We can’t attend every meeting in the county but are always glad to receive any news available, so send in your church or club meetings or your comings and goings, etc.
Cousin Callie Keyser died tonight. What a great loss it is to Rappahannock and (to the people who knew her far and wide. Our deepest sympathy to her family.

Started writing this letter in Weaver's shoe department while waiting for 'Mrs. Friski, but as you can see from the paper, I waited in vain. Had to work Culpeper and Front Royal both today, but I hope never again. From now on I’ll stay put on Fridays. D
