Friday the Pantherettes squelched the Warren ton sextet with a resounding score of 43-24.
Shirley Brown was high scorer with 22 points and was ably helped by Ginger Russell arid Jean Lilt lard with 9 and 6 points respectively. Shirley Smoot did an excellent job of guarding and rebounding.
The second string made a very good showing near the end of the last quarter.
The Pantherettes got their first taste of defeat of the season Tuesday night when they encountered Marshall with their over six-foot forward Thelma Lewis. It is impossible to guard her to any degree without fouling. As expected, the Marshall players fed die ball to her squarely under the basket.
Shirley Brown was again high scorer for Rappahannock with 19 points. The final score stood' at 61 for Marshall and 44 for Rappahannock.
