Marzipan is almond paste and is made into all sorts of fancy shapes for the holiday; fruits, pigs, angels, Santas and churches.. Pigs are especially popular. Santa is called Jule-Man and has many, many helpers in little Jule elves called nissers. Most stores use them' for decorations and they are evidently mischievous little people for I have seen them twisting the pig’s tajlr
deer, and these deer are iolr in any size from three feet to three inches. Like other Scandinavians the Danes tie up a big sheaf of oats on a pole for the birds when * snow flies. We have had snow and may have a white Christmas. I can only wish for sunlight*; we have had ten minutes of it in the last six weeks. Yes, it’s foggy or misty and only light from 8 JO teasing the cat, etc.
