It is difficult to find the Christ* mas spirit la this buqr world, with great leaden exchanging Tints, missiles reaching oat iota the space of the unite me, chemical sprays under biologized suspect, a host of prisioners escaping at one time from a high security prison and . many more events with far reaching consequences. Certainly the events point to the need of a Savior_but how shall we find Him?’
The first Christmas unfolded *midst great world events. The business of that day was taxation and Census. Great numbers of people traveled in many directions, ~ under orders from their governing person. No doubt the inns and restaurants of the day were overworked. No doubt robbers fcnd theives were at work among the multitudes_and yet there in Bethlehem, quietly and without pompt, the Savior was bom. Recognized only by the shepherds who withdrew from the busy world and - ,-iound Him in a manger. Then "they returned to their busy world, renewed and refreshed, with a message of joy on their lips.
Let us withdraw from our busy world this Christmas and find Jesus Christ our Savior; Let us at. tend church on Christmas and there worship and kdore Him> that we may Se renewed and refreshed, ami retpm to.our world with a joyous message on our, lips, proclaiming to others of the great event that happened in Bethlehem . and in Rappahannock County.
