About 95 per cent of the people present at the meeting expressed favorable interest and sincere hope that the industry would locate in Rappahannock County. Pledge cards were distributed, '‘asking that serious consideration be given as to the amount to be invested, since it is local support that brings the business here. Pledges are due for report in 30 days. •
This mass meeting Friday night was the culmination of a study by a Temporary Committee of Inquiry which, made its report Present for the open discussion following the report were Wayne King, vice president and personnel director of Aileen Knitwear, and Allen Johnson, both of New Market.
The temporary comniifttee expressed thanks to all the people in the county for their co-operation and assistance and especially to J. W. Fletcher for special assistance and guidance.
Appointment of a present committee named as members C. B. Johnson, Carson Johnson. Mrs. Virginia Miller, Ray Cannon, Capt. J. B. Stuart, M. A. Greely. Herbert Foster, and H. S. Barksdale. This committee becomes functional at once and is planning early meetings.
