Mrs. Fay Nicholas gave a surprise birthday party in honor of her mother, Mrs. Elmo Jordan in Culpeper, Saturday night.
Those present were Mr. and Mrs Jessie Boddie, Mrs. Carolyn Carter, Mrs. Margaret Hunter. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. W. If. Hunter were Mr. and Mrs, Nuten Jackson and children, Misses Virginia and Lucy Jackson and James Jackson of Woodville.
Miss Mae (E. Lewis and her sister Miss Betsy Ann Lew's of Washington, D C. were week end guests of Mr. C. C. Lewis and family, also other guests in the Lewis home were Mr. William Myers and Mr. Joe Proctor of D. C. The Sperryville Tigers baseball team will sponsor a “Record Hop at the Horse Shoe Inn on Friday. April 1, at 8:30. Admission 50 cents. Come out for an evening of fun.
