Rappahannock

Dear Folks,

When I came into the News office a note from Sarah greeted me: “I’ve got ’em”—mumps. !We never know from day to day who will be next!

Bruce Bowie helped us out on Tuesday, all day; Lucy Catherine Tuesday night. Wouldn’t it be a terrible world if we didn’t have friends?. I told Bruce when he walked in this morning it took me back ten years, but only in mind, certainly twit in time, only wish it could.

Spring has at last “sprung ’— and don't anyone say the “sap has’nt riz" Goodness knows we are all certainly glad to see spring weather aiid heaven forbid the forecast for this week end of “snow”.

Happy birthday this week to Stanish Riley. Miss Susan Latham wished him many happy returns wth a bag of jelly beans. She must like him an awful lot, because Susan and *her jelly beans are hard to part.

Some of the boys and girls are home for their spring vacation. It sure is nice to have them. Maybe after we get our new industry, some of our young folks will stay
