Oscar Baldwin Rites
Oscar Edward Baldwin, 57, of Washington, Va., died Wednesday, April 27 at his residence.
Son of the late George Burke and Eliza E. Pullen Baldwin, he was a native of Rappahannock County. His wife, the former Sarah Elizabeth Molden, died in recent months.
He is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Lena Beahm of Washington, Va.; four sons, Clarence Baldwin of Alexandria, Charlie Baldwin of Washington^. Va.? George Baldwin of Norfolk and Aubrey Baldwin, Washington, D. C.; seven sisters, Mrs. Vedlie Baldwin of Reva. Mrs. Virgie Smeltzer of Front Royal, Mrs. Nellie Clatterbuck of Troy, Mrs. Delphie Baldwin of Reva, Mrs. Mary Welch of Remington and Mrs. Nina Darnell of Luray; five brothers, David and Daniel Baldwin of Luray, John Baldwin of Reva, Joe Baldwin of Rilejrv'ille and Thomas Baldwin of Washington, Va.; and eleven grandchildren.
A funeral service was held Friday, April 29, from Thornton Gap Primitive Baptist Church, with Rev. J. T. Daily and Elder Clarehce Frazier officiating. Pmterment followed in Washington Masonic Cemetery.
Pallbearers were W. W. Woodard, Harry Brubaker, Milton Gore, Lester Yates, John Clark and Ellis Frazier.
