Committers recommended two bills. One would state as national policy that the national forests be administered on a “multiple use basis conservation, judicious timbering, recreation, etc. In general, this is the practice now in effect. The other recommended bill would permit the States of Kansas and Nebraska to make an agreement dividing up the waters of the Blue River and its tributaries..presumably a matter of considerable interest to those two States.
