The primary grades of Washington Graded School will present its closing program Friday May 27 at 8 p.m. Theme of the program is 'Health for Good Living. The members of the church aid club of Shiloh Woodville, Va. are giving a Virginia ham dinner on Friday, May'6th at Horse Shoe Inn beginning at 5 p.m.. Price 75c in $1.00 out. Come out and enjoy a nice dinner. Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Clanagan were Dozie Richards, Alonzo Gilbert, Mrs. Geneva Hicks, Norman Anthony, Mrs. Crystal Gwaltney all of Washington, D. C. John Marshall Barbour, a patient in the University of Virginia Hospital is improving and was visited Monday by his wife Mrs. Barbour.
Armed Forces News
Army Pvt. Boyd H. Brown, spn of Mr. and Mrs. Boyd H. Brown of Amissville, Va. recently was assigned to the 25th Artillery in Germany.
Brown, a member of the artillery's Battery A in Stuttgart, entered the Army last October and completed basic taining at Fort Benning, Ga.
The 24 year old soldier is a 1954 gradutae of George Washington Carver High School in Culpeper.
